The Dales are a land of rustic fantasy, wherein ordinary folk from rural towns and small communities find themselves thrust into epic challenges far beyond the scope of their normal lives. A peace that lasted generations is about to come to an end, and the people of the Dales will soon be thrusted into encounters with cultures, traditions, and beliefs they never met before. Arriving from the dark forests and rising from hidden holes are all manner of strange beings known as the Creatures of Twilight, and only those who know the old ways can hope to stop them.

The Hearts of Ravensdale Setting Book features a broad overview of the main setting of Legend in the Mist, including the hidden cosmology of the world, a cultivation-based magic system in which inner will can become true power, the Dales and its people, and the lands beyond and the things that dwell there. The book offers additional tropes, theme kits, Specials and items for creating and developing player characters, a selection of Dales challenges and prominent factions, and a full campaign of six adventures.
